Some years ago, a friend of ours needed a great deal of hardware for his house. Not finding what he needed, he decided to have some made. As sometimes happens, passion got the better of him and this is the result.

While Artefacts does not normally carry reproduction items, these works are well made and can be difficult to find as antiques. Here's a good example...

Rim Lock Sriker

As is the case with most locks, the striker is placed on the jamb and separate from the rest of the bits. Most often, the door is removed and the striker left behind. Well, the lock doesn't work without the striker! We have boxes of locks in need of this part and many of our customers are in the same boat. We decided to have a striker made. You've been asking for it...here it is!

Thumb Latch Striker

Same problem as above only this piece catches the bar of your thumb latch.

This piece holds the bar on the door near the edge and is often broken.
